Explore The Benefits of the CKD FRL

The CKD Filter, Regulator, and Lubricator (FRL) is a combination of three components used in pneumatic (air) systems to ensure the proper functioning and longevity of pneumatic tools and equipment. Each component plays a specific role in maintaining the quality of the compressed air supplied to the system.

Filter

The filter is designed to remove contaminants, such as dust, dirt, oil, and water droplets, from the compressed air. Contaminants can negatively impact the performance and lifespan of pneumatic components, so the filter helps ensure clean and dry air.

Regulator

The regulator controls and maintains a consistent pressure level in the pneumatic system. It allows the user to set the desired pressure, and the regulator ensures that the pressure is maintained at that level, regardless of fluctuations in the incoming air pressure.

Lubricator

The lubricator adds a controlled amount of lubricating oil to the compressed air. Pneumatic tools and components often require lubrication to reduce friction, wear, and heat generated during operation. The lubricator helps extend the life of these components by ensuring they receive a continuous supply of oil.

How The Filter, Lubricator, and Regulator Work Together

Filtering
The air first passes through the filter, which removes contaminants.

Regulating
After filtration, the air pressure is regulated by the regulator to the desired level.

Lubricating
Finally, the air is sent through the lubricator, which adds a fine mist of lubricating oil to the air stream before it reaches pneumatic tools or equipment.

The Benefits of the FLR

Extended Equipment Life
Removing contaminants and providing proper lubrication helps prevent premature wear and damage to pneumatic components.

Improved Performance
Consistent pressure regulation ensures that pneumatic tools operate at their optimum levels.

Reduced Downtime
By maintaining clean, dry, and lubricated air, the likelihood of equipment failure and downtime is minimized.

FRL units are commonly found in industrial settings where pneumatic systems are prevalent, such as manufacturing plants, automotive shops, and various machinery applications. Using an FRL system contributes to the reliability and efficiency of pneumatic equipment.
