RAM Solutions was proud to be a part of ASNT 2022: The Annual Conference held at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

It was the largest NDT event of the year. There were more than 2,500 NDT industry professionals as well as industry experts present. The conference featured exciting general sessions and time to connect with your peers, plus a vibrant exhibit hall with over 225 exhibitors including RAM in Booth 1009! ASNT 2022 was an excellent opportunity to share research/work, hear updates on the latest NDT advances, network with our colleagues, and meet new ones. 

The keynote speakers were Dr. Moogega Cooper and Tim Hwang.  On February 18, 2021, Dr. Moogega “Moo” Cooper helped make history when the Mars Perseverance Rover successfully landed on the Red Planet.   Part of the famed Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) team, Moo is blazing a trail as a real-life ‘Guardian of the Galaxy holding the awesome responsibility of keeping the Red Planet safe from Earth’s contaminants.  Now she is sharing leadership lessons learned from her inspirational journey to the top of a male-dominated field—space exploration, and insights on how perseverance pays off and how diversity makes the JPL team even greater.

Tim Hwang is an expert on artificial intelligence and its existing and likely implications, Hwang succinctly and skillfully breaks down for novice and advanced audiences a broad range of topics related to ensuring that artificial intelligence systems are designed and used ethically. Specific topics addressed include how to avoid algorithmic bias, the practice of smart data collection, and what specific concerns may be for areas ranging from banking and medicine to consumer interaction and engagement.

The days were filled with ASNT Short Courses led by in-person instructors. They feature various topics addressing relevant technologies, NDT/NDE, and management techniques. The courses were designed to be interactive and application-oriented to provide job relevance. The instructors were content experts with industry experience and on-the-job experience.

There were also over 10 hours of exhibits-only time scheduled with an engaged group of decision-makers in attendance.  RAM Solutions made a great presence providing industrial automation solutions to various industries.
